In the elementary section we encourage students to be passionate about learning while obtaining a variety of skills to prepare them for the demands of the 21st century. Students grow and develop through innovative and active lessons that are adapted to each child’s learning style and abilities. Through an assortment of student-centered activities our students learn to collaborate, think creatively, communicate effectively and develop critical thinking skills.

The American common core curriculum standards are followed for all English language subjects throughout our school, in addition we deliver the MOE curriculum of Arabic Language, Islamic Studies, Social Studies and Moral education in Arabic. Our academic program for grades one through five, includes the core subjects of English, Math, Science, and Social Studies, which are taught by homeroom teachers while Arabic Language, Islamic Studies, Moral Education, Physical Education, Library, IT, and Art taught by our specialist teachers.

Rigorous units with specific instructional objectives are used to prepare our students to excel not only in the classroom but also in the real world. In addition, we provide learning opportunities through field trips, inquiry-based research projects, international collaborations, and many other ways that stimulate our students’ growth academically, socially and emotionally.

At Diyar, we believe that working in partnership with parents, our students will be more likely to succeed in school and develop the interpersonal and intrapersonal skills necessary to succeed in life. For this reason, we encourage parents to be active participants in their child’s education by having a collaborative relationship with teachers. We believe that the relationship between student, parent and teacher is critical in serving the learning needs of our students. Motivated, well-rounded, and hardworking students can be found on our campus. We look forward to meeting your child’s educational needs while they have fun learning and developing the skills, knowledge and competence that will lead them to a successful school life.
